Video Wax Works by Michael T. Bidner

The Video Wax Works is a related static exhibit from a series of 4x5 inch black and white glossy photos presented at Brock University, St. Catherines, Ontario in February 28, 1975. The images were procured off video monitors with various 35mm cameras using a variety of b/w films. They were dyed and dry mounted on to card before being dipped in wax and plunged into cold water to render a characteristic patina. Some of the pieces also bear calligraphy/markings. Each is signed "Cloud"on the reverse. The images record a video marathon in London, Ontario during the early months of 1974. 6500 Colour Xerox print outs were made and signed. One such example is illustrated at Photocopy Prints of Michael T. Bidner.
