Professor Max Laeuger art pottery vase in the Jugendstil tradition, Kanderne Tonwerke, Karlsrhue, Germany, c. 1910
Vase is tube-line relief decorated with yellow flowers on long green stems against a blue ground, maker's monogram on base.

Max Laeuger was the director of Art Pottery at the Kanderne Tonwerke and one of the pioneers of 20th-century ceramics design.


A 19thc. Macintyre agate ware condiment bottle and stopper in fine-grained stoneware decorated in buff and sienna brown marbling under a glassy overglaze. Rim finished in gilt.

A large Moorcroft Pansy pattern pottery vase signed in green, 'William Moorcroft 1912'.
One of the earliest examples of this pattern, previously thought to have originated in 1913 when William Moorcroft founded the Moorcroft 'brand'.
This vase was probably produced during William Moorcroft's final days with MacIntyre.

A pair of 19thc. Watcombe Torquay green-glazed terracotta ware jugs possibly designed by Dr. Christopher Dresser. The tall jug is impressed 'Watcombe Torquay' and incised '875' while the small jug is unmarked.
Large jug measures 12-1/2" tall and the diminutive jug a mere 2-1/2".

A Michael Andersen stoneware 'Dania' censer and lid, the spherical body decorated in a thick red glaze with a lid molded as flower petals. Lid glazed in an unctuous greenish buff tone.
Marked 'MA & S' and 'Danmark' on the foot and incised '1456'. Height 3-1/2". Circa 1920's.
