Biography of Robin Hopper

 

* Born - Snelsdon, Surrey, England in 1939

* Studied at The Croydon College of Art

* Taught at the Central Technical School as the Head of the Ceramics Department, the

Ceramics and Glass Programme at Georgian College, Barrie, Ontario (1970) and at the Lester

B. Pearson College of the Pacific

* In 1992 he received the Saidye Bronfman Award for Excellence in Craft

* He has published "Functional Pottery, Form and Aesthetic in Pots of Purpose", Chilton Book Company, Radnor Pennsylvania, ISBN 0-8019-7451-8 and "The Ceramic Spectrum, A Simplified Approach to Glaze and Colour Development", Chilton Book Company, Radnor Pennsylvania, ISBN 0-8019-7275-2

* His work is represented in public and private collections around the world
